Copyright Vocabulary organizer

*Copyright -Is protection grounded in the U.S. Constitution

* Fair Use- Is a guideline used to determine a copyright that is illegal withoug permission.

*First Sale Doctrine- allows a purchaser to make copies of the coyright without permission.

* Intellectual Property- is a product that has imagination and trademarks.

* Patent- is a monopoly created at a limited time for a new invention.

* Permission- a consent to reprint using it in another work.

*Phonorecords - technology that allows musical works to be recorded in digital format.
*Plagiarism- To steal ideas or words and use them on their own.

* Public Domain-Copyright protection that has expired by officers and employees.
*Trademark-* a word or symbol to identify a product or where its located
